He didn't give me the chance to test it. He scooped me up again, one arm behind my back and the other under my knees, lifting me against his chest. He held me close, his stride purposeful as he carried me out of the study and down the dimly lit hallway. He stopped at a set of double doors in the centre of the east wing. He kicked the door open, and carried me inside.
This wasn't a guest room. This was his room.
